Tells us a little about yourself.
I am from Brentwood, TN a suburban town just south of Nashville. I have found myself migrating north with each stop along the road, moving from Nashville to Lexington, KY and recently to Indianapolis. I work as a Corporate Ticket Sales Manager for the Indiana Pacers. When I’m not at work rooting on the Pacers, I am at home cheering on the University of Kentucky Wildcats. As a Nashville native, I do indeed play guitar but unlike the big stars from Music City, I am very bad at it and simply enjoy casually strumming chords on my couch while re-watching Friday Night Lights or It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
What is one thing about yourself that would surprise people?
I am an extremely sarcastic person. Once I get comfortable with people, I very quickly turn my sarcasm up to 100. I’ve had several people say after first meeting me that they did not expect that. My friends often find themselves having to ask, “wait for real, are you serious or just kidding?”
What is your biggest pet peeve?
My biggest pet peeve is when people nitpick to look for things to complain about. And really I guess complaining in general. As Maya Angelou said, “if you don’t like something then change it and if you can’t change it then change the way you think about it!”
What was your favorite TV show/book growing up?
King of the Hill. Hank Hill is the ultimate average American and I appreciate that the show educates people on the importance of propane and propane accessories when it comes to tasting the meat and not the heat.
What is your favorite cereal (or breakfast food)?
Most definitely would be Wheaties. I’m not a huge cereal person but something about Wheaties just makes me feel like a winner.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
Super speed, I am a sports fanatic but have always been an average at best athlete so I think it’d be fun to use that power to dominate sports. I’d give being an athlete instead of working in the front office another shot!
Why did you want to get involved with Circle City Connect?
Since moving to Indianapolis, I have found the community to be extremely welcoming. I have truly enjoyed the people that I have had been able to connect with and CCC was one of the outlets that provided those opportunities, events, and connections. CCC is an organization that allows people find their fit. Because of the diversity of the organization and the events that they provide, you can truly find the experience that you are looking for. Whether your goal is to grow a social or professional network, volunteer within the community, or simply have some fun, with CCC you can do it all! I wanted to get involved to help further expand these opportunities that I found so helpful. I am excited to take on the challenge of really diving further into the community and taking a hands-on approach in helping with the personal and professional growth that CCC can provide!
