Volunteer with CCC at the 500 OneAmerica Mini Marathon

CCC is partnering with the Indiana Recycling Coalition to help keep the Mini Marathon clean, while educating attendees about the benefits of recycling and composting! Our goal is to aid the Indiana Recycling Coalition in promoting a zero-waste atmosphere, while encouraging attendees to develop their own plan to gradually move towards a less non-recyclable/non-compostable lifestyle. We will primarily be collecting materials, such as cardboard, aluminum cans, plastic water bottles, and banana peels.

This will be a great opportunity to meet new people, while ensuring our community remains clean! Oh, did we mention that you will get a free recycling t-shirt if you volunteer?

Shifts will be from 7a to 11a and 11a to 3:30p. Please send an email to contact@circlecityconnect.org after signing up for a shift! Remember to wear close toed shoes and long pants, bring a water bottle, arrive BEFORE your shift begins, and be prepared to help Indy!

We're looking for 10-15 volunteers over the two shifts, so feel free to bring a friend or a family member!

Visit our Facebook event for more information.

Sky Farm Volunteer Day at Eskenazi Health - Please RSVP

The Sky Farm at Eskenazi Health, a 5,000-square-foot-gardening space on top of the Eskenazi Health Outpatient Care Center, has been featured by both local and national media, even claiming the title of having one of the best rooftop views in Indy.

In addition to providing a breathtaking view of the Circle City, the Sky Farm is a large part of the healing environment that makes up the Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital and Eskenazi Health campus, and is utilized to grow fresh produce to feed the patients, visitors and employees of Eskenazi Health. In its first year, more than 2,200 pounds of fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs were harvested from the Sky Farm and incorporated into dishes served by Eskenazi Health Food & Nutrition Services to the inpatient units at the Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital. The Ingram Micro Mobility Marketplace, Café Soleil and Café Soleil Express at Eskenazi Health also utilize the crops for select menu items, daily specials and chef salad bar options.

Please be sure to bring hats, sunscreen, and water! You will be weeding and harvesting and will get to take something from the garden home! RSVP here ahead of time RSVP ahead of time because we only have 10 spots!
