5 Places to Grab After-Work Drinks

Looking for a place to wind down with your co-workers? Or maybe going on a hot date this week?! We’ve picked 5 of our favorite hot spots for drinks in Indy.

1. The Tap, Mass Ave

The Tap is great for large outings - grab your team and hit the bar for happy hour. They have a selection of craft beers, with a few cocktail options as well. Get the flight, and try something new. Sours are fun! And the Chocolate Stout is definitely one that everyone should try. Get a pizza while you’re at it! They also have burgers, sandwiches, and other delicious foods to snack on.

2. Chilly Water Brewing Co., Fountain Square

This funky brewery in Fountain Square will be your new fav place to get a cold one after work. Follow their Instagram @chillywaterbrewing for details on weeknight trivia! And while you’re there, might as well use that as an excuse to have one of Chilly Water’s infamous burgers (winter body on point??).

P.S. They now have brunch on Sundays in The Green Room, so check them out this weekend!

3. Hotel Tango Artisan Distillery, Fountain Square

If Hotel Tango isn’t already your favorite spot to get a drink, it definitely will be soon! This veteran-owned establishment is Indiana’s first artisan distillery, with each cocktail carefully handcrafted with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Don’t be turned off by their unique additions like egg whites and peanut butter, trust me, they are worth giving a whirl. There are plenty of little spots to sit and chat throughout the space. Snag a seat on the comfy couch by the fire, or grab a high top table in the back room. You can also reserve the back space if you have a large group.

4. Union 50, Mass Ave

Need a spot for an important meeting? If you are looking for something a little more professional, check out Union 50. They have great cocktails, a selection of craft beers, and AMAZING food. Setting is spacey, but intimate, with low lighting and live music throughout the week.

Get the charcuterie board to share with 3-4 and make sure to get the shot for the ‘gram when it arrives to the table!

5. Punch Bowl Social, Downtown

This diner/bar/arcade/bowling alley/karaoke joint provides more of a fun, laid-back vibe for your after-work outing. Grab your work buddies that aren't afraid to have a good time. Start with a craft cocktail or a PBR tallboy, and hit the bowling alley or the corn-hole corner. Order the chicken and waffles before finishing out the night. Seriously, this grub is not your typical cheeseburgers and greasy fries bar food. There are vegetarian and vegan options, fresh-squeezed juice, and seasonal items prepared to perfection. You won’t regret it!
