5 Indy Hot Spots for Meetups
Looking for a new place for a business meeting? Craving a cozy, quaint coffee shop for studying? Searching for the perfect little place for a fro-yo date? We’ve picked 5 of our top favorite spots for meetups in Indy.
1. Open Society, Restaurant/Bar
This chill, casual Broad ripple joint doubles as a cozy study spot or a place for cocktails with colleagues after work. Grab a spot in the middle section that is closed off from the remainder of the space if with a larger group and needing a quiet space, or head to the back and grab a spot at the bar for a hand-crafted, seasonal cocktail. The restaurant also offers coffee and wine, or share a couple of the Latin-inspired small plates with your group.
2. Thirsty Scholar, Coffeehouse/Wine Bar
This downtown Indy cafe and bar serves local coffee and creamy, delicious lattes along with craft beer & classic wines. With a quiet and chill vibe during the day, and a more fun and upbeat vibe at night (sometimes with live music), there is a spot for everyone at the Scholar. Best to meet here with only 2-3 people, as there is limited seating in this quaint and cozy space.
3. Cafe Patachou, Farm-to-Table Breakfast and Lunch
An Indy classic, perfect for a brunch with a friend (get the waffles!) or an afternoon work meeting over coffee. Popular among locals, you can expect a full house and maybe a wait for a table. With a self-serve coffee bar, the cafe is perfect for guzzling caffeine and knocking out your to-do list. There are locations in Carmel, Broad Ripple, and downtown Indy, making it convenient on any side of town!
4. Coat Check Coffee
A recent addition to downtown Indy, this historic coat check turned coffeeshop located in the Athenaeum is one everyone should experience at least once. With comfy chairs and a quiet ambiance, this spot is perfect for a low-key professional meeting. Printing is also available if needed. Try the Butterscotch Latte with house made syrup and a surprise garnish. Menu includes a small selection of coffees (Tinker Coffee Co.) and a couple of options for snacks, including the crispy house-baked croissants!
5. Pearings Cafe, Frozen Yogurt and Coffee Shop
This fun little bistro serves a variety of market-fresh wraps, fro yo, Intelligentsia coffees, sweet treats and beer & wine. Perfect for groups of 2-4 as it is smaller space with table seating as well as comfy leather chairs. The location is near the circle, so great for meeting colleagues or clients in the city.
