C3’s Paws ‘n’ Pints Event Raises More Than $3,000 for Indy Humane

Captain America, pirates, bees, and even adorable little dinosaurs filled the dining area of Metazoa Brewing Company for Circle City Connect’s Paws ‘n’ Pints event. The October 18 event was highlighted by the pet costume contest which helped raise $3,156 for the Indianapolis Humane Society.

“Metazoa loved the pet dress up contest,” said Regan Holtsclaw, Metazoa’s Events Coordinator. “We have them a few times throughout the year—each one being unique, yet all being very funny and cute. Circle City Connect's looked very successful and had very cute pets!”

The contest included 28 entries, with Charlie Brown, a Dachshund dressed as a stegosaurus, taking home first place. Metazoa was also packed with many more dogs, the Humane Society’s pet adoption wagon, City Dogs Grocery, and a photo booth to take pictures with your pets.

“Metazoa had great business this night and I personally loved the Circle City Connect crowd,” said Holtsclaw. “Everyone I was in contact with through this organization was very nice and very excited about this event in addition to helping the Humane Society of Indy—which is one of Metazoa's charities as well. I loved how organized Circle City Connect group was when planning this event and all the elements they incorporated. It is so nice to see people bringing other Indianapolis businesses in as well, like Union Jack and Rubbr. We would love to work with them in the future.”

Circle City Connect’s Philanthropy Director, Katie Pittman, felt the event far exceeded her expectations and looks forward to doing the event again in the future with the hope of adding some additional activites.

“Working with both Metazoa and the Humane Society was so fun,” said Pittman. “Both have great employees and volunteers who are passionate about what they're doing. It really lined up with our goal of fundraising for the Humane Society. It was really wonderful to see all the local businesses and organizations come together to support Indy Humane. Thank you to everyone who helped make the event happen and everyone who attended!”
